Parcel Post

NB: When clearing non-commercial imports the following documents are required before beginning the clearance process.

  • Parcel Notification Slip.
  • Receipt(s) / Invoice(s).

The parcel notification slip will be sent to you via local post upon the arrival of your package(s).

Steps

  1. The importer goes to the Parcel Post section of the General Post Office to collect their package(s), and begins the process by presenting the parcel notification slip to the postal clerk.
  2. The clerk goes to the area where the goods are located to obtained the package(s).
  3. The package(s) is then brought to the examination station and the customs officer will begin the examination process.
  4. After the examination has been completed the necessary customs duties are colloected and the importer is given a receipt.
  5. The importer then signs to verify the receipt of his/her package(s) from the Parcel Post, collects their package(s) and exits the Post Office.
